We went to hike Mt.Vesuvius. The little girls made it to the top! Charlotte was very interested in the volcano. I was glad they could make the hike. Thanks to the encouragement from the sister missionaries they did it! My granddaughters now have two new best friends.
After the hike, we all went to Pompeii. Charlotte had studied all about it and really wanted to see it also.
It rained a tiny bit at at Pompeii, but it was nice and cool with the cloud cover, and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect day.
It was way cool at the amphitheater because there was a man from Germany singing some opera to test out the acoustics. It was really fun to listen to.
How blessed we are to live so close to so many beautiful places here in Italy. Since our branch boundaries are nearly an hour and a half to two hours in every direction, we can see some of the best sites right in our district.
